Our Long Standing Partnership with NEP

May 1, 2026 | General News

Westville is proud to mark a long standing partnership with Nottingham Energy Partnership, having worked together for 18 years to support households, tackle fuel poverty and improve the energy performance of homes across the region.

Over nearly two decades, this collaboration has delivered meaningful, measurable impact. In the last 12 months NEP have directly supported 5,892 households through detailed home energy surveys, tailored improvement plans and the installation of energy efficiency measures. Alongside this, support with benefit and hardship applications has helped unlock £4.9 million in savings, easing financial pressures for thousands of residents.

At the heart of this work is a shared commitment to making homes warmer, healthier and more affordable to run. By combining technical expertise with community engagement, the partnership has helped residents better understand their homes, reduce energy consumption and build confidence in adopting low carbon solutions.

A key example of this continued innovation is the HEAT Hub project, which is designed to support self funding homeowners on their retrofit journey. Through a programme of in person events, expert advice and tailored future fit home energy plans, the initiative is empowering more people to take proactive steps towards improving their homes and reducing their environmental impact.

The release of their 2025 Impact Report further highlights the success of this work, featuring real stories from local residents who have transformed their homes through practical, accessible solutions. These case studies demonstrate not only the technical benefits of retrofit, but also the positive difference it makes to everyday lives.

As the policy landscape evolves, particularly with the emergence of the Warm Homes Plan, there remains a level of uncertainty around how quickly and effectively change can be delivered at scale. Ensuring that programmes are inclusive, accessible and designed to encourage widespread participation will be critical to achieving the UK’s decarbonisation goals.

Westville remains committed to playing a leading role in this transition. Building on the success of its partnership with Nottingham Energy Partnership, the business will continue to expand its work across domestic retrofit, community energy initiatives and education. This includes supporting schools with climate change awareness and exploring new approaches to local energy sharing.

This milestone not only reflects the strength of a long term partnership, but also the lasting impact that can be achieved when organisations work together with a shared purpose.
